Bio
Amy Lu and Alexander Lieu are energetic swing dancers currently based out of Geneva, Switzerland where they teach weekly Balboa and Collegiate Shag classes for Geneva Swing since 2014. From the USA, they both discovered their love for Lindy Hop and Balboa at the Century Ballroom in Seattle in 2006, where they met, establishing a lifelong partnership on and off the dance floor.
Amy and Alex believe in bringing joy, humor, and energy to each dance. They both value solid partnerships with dancers of all levels, and making every moment important for each partner. They strongly believe the dance to be a full body experience from head to toe, physically and mentally. Combining Alex’s obsession for energetic natural movement and Amy’s pedagogical backgrounds in education and yoga, they teach organized and clear classes fused with fun ideas, playful shapes, and detailed movement mechanics for diverse bodies.
