For several years now, there has been a growing interest in the various dances related to jazz around the world. Berlin is one of the most dynamic European capitals in this movement, with the largest community of dancers. Out of a passion for this musical era and in response to the growing demand from the dance community, the Syncopation Society Orchestra was formed. Indeed, there are few large ensembles throughout Europe dedicated to reviving the arrangements of the first great jazz ensembles.
The Syncopation Society Orchestra is an orchestra that specializes in this period from the mid-1920s to the mid-1930s. It consists of 10 musicians, all of whom are active in the Berlin traditional jazz scene and are part of the Syncopation Society musicians\’ collective.

Thanks to the arrangements and transcriptions of Claus Jacobi, the orchestra plays several repertoires, Fletcher Henderson Orchestra, King Oliver Orchestra, Luis Russell Orchestra, Paul Howard.
