Le Scat Noir is a jazz vocal trio composed of three girls from Southern, Northern and Central Italy, who met in the summer of 2013 at the Conservatory of Music in Ferrara to study Jazz music. Their curiosity for musical research and their great human understanding gave birth to their original group. Their repertoire proposes jazz standards, ethnic and original songs arranged for three voices, piano and violin. In their performances they alternate a cappella pieces with songs instrumentally accompanied.
They won several competitions in Italy and in foreign countries, including:
– second prize at “Premio Abbado 2015” – Jazz Section;
– first prize ex equo in “MULTICULTURITA Europe Contest 2016″;
– second prize in “TIM Torneo Internazionale della Musica 2016” – Jazz section;
– first prize in “TOUR MUSIC FEST 2016” – vocal group category;
– first prize in “Baku Jazz Competition” – singers section during Baku Jazz Festival;
– selected for the final contest in “SOLEVOCI – a cappella international festival”, “Premio Randazzo” and “Premio Fara Music Jazz Live”.
It was also invited to sing for “Rai – Community” and “Rai Radio3 Mondo” and has won the contests “Uffizi Gallery Live 2017” and “Movin up 2018”.
